Michael Bibi has donated almost £114,000 to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, the organisation that fundraises for the hospital that treated him when he had cancer.
The donation was made to mark two years since the DJ was told he was cancer-free. The money was raised amid his ongoing One Life parties, set up in the wake of his cancer diagnosis and recovery.
In a post shared on social media, accompanied with an image of him holding a giant cheque, Bibi said: "Today I visited Royal Marsden, had my 2 year scans, dropped off a donation from One Life, and was told I remain in remission for a second year. Today was a good day. Thank you everyone that helped get us here and danced along the way."
The DJ and Solid Grooves founder was diagnosed in 2023 with central nervous system lymphoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that affects the brain and spine. He was treated at the Royal Marsden's Oak Cancer Centre.
His latest contribution to the charity associated with the hospital follows a series of fundraising efforts that have taken place under the One Life brand. In 2024, he played a comeback show at London's Finsbury Park for 45,000 people, and raised more than £120,000 for the Royal Marsden. His events have now raised more than £400,000 for cancer charities since he made his return to DJing.
